Course Objectives:

Course Descriptions:

 Understand what normal oral muscle function and rest posture are in order for your pediatric patients to properly grow ideal craniofacial structures and a healthy airway. Learn how to recognize improper function with breathing and oral muscles that would warrant early intervention in orthodontics, myofunctional therapy, and other specialized treatment. Feel confident in educating patients and parents about the importance of proper growth and function, and how early treatment is imperative to healthy breathing, sleep, and development.

Her practice has also become a global online option for patients of all ages seeking care worldwide.  Kimmie is currently a board member of the international study club called Airway Circle, which focuses on collaboration with all specialties that help patients achieve optimum breathing, sleep and function.

Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) is an arena that Kimmie is extremely passionate about. She continues to see her patients benefit from better sleep, better breathing, and improved function of the mouth, tongue and airway.  She loves to mentor and coach other Dental Hygienists to learn about screening for Myofunctional Disorders and pursue appropriate training to treat their own patients as well."
